My Cool Caravan

I just love this book - My Cool Caravan by Jane Field-Lewis and Chris Haddon.  It's full of fantastic vintage caravans and retro style.  They also have a website  http://www.mycoolcaravan.com/
Make sure you add it to your Birthday list!

One Man and His Campervan

I've just enjoyed the first episode of One Man and His Campervan, a culinary tour of the UK by Martin Dorey in his trusty stead (well, sometimes!), a 1970s VW Bay Window camper.  This trip was based in his home county - Devon and next week is The New Forest.  A little nostalgia for me next week then as we spent many a camping trip there with our parents...happy days!  Lots of handy tips for cooking in small spaces & in the great outdoors.  Check out the link if you missed this weeks episode.http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00yltdc . Showing on Mondays at 18:30 on BBC2.
If you have any handy recipes of your own how about sharing them on the blog?

VW Beetle Bunting

For VW Beetle fans out there I've made a string of bunting just for you!  Hippy style Volkswagen Beetles mixed with cheerful bright and spotty fabrics - sure to cheer you up!  Click on the link for more details. http://www.snugadub.talktalk.net/Large_Bunting_Ready_Made.html

Royal Wedding Bunting

Well, I've made my first string!  Hope you like it.  I had wanted to show it on a lovely sunny day with some nice trees and flowers in the background but this being Yorkshire and it being cold & grotty I'm afraid my fireplace will have to suffice for now!  So, if you do like it and you are having a party for William and Kates big day or you just like red, white and blue, check out my website at http://www.snugadub.talktalk.net/Royal_Wedding_Bunting.html

Royal Wedding - Kate and William - get the bunting out!

I'm sure we don't really need an excuse for a party but with the Royal wedding looming and an official day off in sight what better excuse could you have?  Even if your not into the Royal thing there must be plenty of occasions crying out for red, white and blue bunting.  To make things less boring I'm chucking in a few spots and stripes just for good measure!  The fabric only arrived yesterday but I've already made a start and rest assured I'll let you have some pictures when I've sewn a few flags together.  So, watch out on the blog and the website if you think you might like to order some!

Happy New Year from the Sock Monkeys

Happy New (ish) Year!

We're planning to add a few more goodies to our range this year so keep your eyes on the web site and blog for updates http://www.snuginadub.co.uk/  Following the success of our Sock Monkey sales at various shows last year we have now added them to our website.  They are handmade to order so go and have a look.  The perfect mascot for your VW Campervan or Beetle!  Watch out though, more than one monkey can mean trouble!
