You know how it is with the good old British Weather - one minute bright blue skies and the next thrashing rain. It makes camping and picnics interesting!

We found some blankets in fantastic colours with soft fleece on the inside and a waterproof outer coating as well as a hood.

You can wrap them around you like a cape - perfect for sitting out on those chilly camping evenings, you can put the hood up and keep the rain out or you can just spread them flat and use them like a picnic blanket. Great if you've got kids too especially on those beach trips when they stay in the sea so long they come out blue and shivering - just dry them off then wrap them in one of these - perfect!

Busy making things!

Well, I've not been very good at the blog thing again! The VW season has now finished so I'm back to making things for craft fairs between now and Christmas (is it to early to mention that word?!). I've just added Make your own Bat kits to my felt craft kit collection ready for Halloween - they're not too spooky though, quite friendly really. I Love My Camper Van (Campervan) Bunting

I've spent the weekend (in between the usual chores!) making bunting which you can, if you so wish, hang in the back window of your camper van. These are for Bays but I'm also hoping to make some for Splittys and Beetles. If you want different words or perhaps the name of your camper, that's fine too and don't worry if you can't see your colour listed, just ask, I can make one just for you! Everything is stitched, not glued so you don't need to worry about letters peeling off after a couple of weeks!

Well, I've been very remiss about the blog lately so sorry about that but things have been rather hectic! We've been to Mighty Dub Fest and CamperJam - both were great events and thanks to everyone who came to visit the stall!

LED Solar String Lights

We decided we would like to sell Fairy lights or String lights if you'd rather but because electrical hook ups are not always an option and not everyone has a 12 volt connector in their campervan we thought we would go with solar power! We tried a set out before committing ourselves, they've been working happily in our conservatory for weeks now and we're really pleased with them.

Cottage Garden Crochet Blanket

Although it's slightly on the gloomy side here in our little part of Yorkshire today I am quite hopeful that summer is on its way. We are just in the process of re-doing our garden which is currently sadly lacking in the flower department. Spring has Sprung!

I've used my Cath Kidston fabric to make into cutlery rolls in the hope that Spring has finally sprung and we can brave the great outdoors again! Well, a new parcel of yarn arrived last week so I'm back into "Granny Blanket" crochet mode - can you get R.S.I. from crochet??? Puppets - Great for bored kids on long journeys!

We've just added puppets to our goodies on the website. We bought our kids a couple and now they can't wait for long trips so "Bob" and "Bluey" can wave a passers by on the motorway (and if you own a campervan you'll know there are plenty of people passing you!). Our kids even ditched the Nintendos for puppets - amazing, no mention of "I'm bored, are we nearly there yet?"! I can't promise total harmony but it's certainly given us a few more peaceful trips! We've got three varieties available,

One Man and His Campervan

I've just enjoyed the first episode of One Man and His Campervan, a culinary tour of the UK by Martin Dorey in his trusty stead (well, sometimes!), a 1970s VW Bay Window camper. This trip was based in his home county - Devon and next week is The New Forest. A little nostalgia for me next week then as we spent many a camping trip there with our parents...happy days! Cancer Research UK - knit a pink scarf

A lady by the name of Rachel Speight visited our stall at the Harewood House VW Festival this weekend and told me about their plans to knit a super long scarf to wrap around the wall of York. Proceeds are in aid of breast cancer and will go to Cancer Reasearch UK.

I just wanted to say a huge "THANK YOU" to everyone who visited my stall at CamperJam this weekend. I've had some lovely comments which have been well received so thank you again for those.

Well hello there! This is new territory for me so where do I start? Snug in a Dub is a new venture which came about following the purchase of our 1967 Splitscreen Camper Van. We've had the van for 2 years but there is still a lot to do including a new gearbox and a camping interior.
Snug in a Dub is our contribution to making life in your old V-Dub just a little more cosy. We've found you a mixture of handmade, retro, vintage and modern items including granny blankets, hot water bottles, melamine dinner ware, lanterns and bbqs. We would like to share our ideas with you. Of course if you would like to make any suggestions for items you would like to see, let us know, we'll see what we can do.
